Ex votos are one of the very charming forms of Mexican folk art. An expression of intense faith, devotion and thankfulness - these painted pieces are offerings of thankfulness for divine intervention. This particular piece loosely translated is dedicated by Gaudensio Preciliano to thank the Jesus for his intervention (and bestowal of a favor) in the year 1963. Measures 11 7/8" by 7 7/8".
