A most fine vintage silver and amethyst bracelet by Master silver designer Antonio Pineda. This exceptional piece, an exemplar of which was included in the important exhibit "Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance", is done in the cartoneada smithing technique. This vintage piece features an amethyst and turquoise embellished silver cross of dramatic scale and rather fine silver smithing. A charming pair of vintage Matilde Poulat silver earrings. Repousse seahorses whose eyes are embellished with natural coral spheres. Bearing earliest Matl mark, these ca. 1930s earrings are in excellent condition and fasten with well functioning screw back ear buttons. Measuring 1 1/2" by 3/4". A very rare, lovely set of early vintage Mexican silver hair combs by Matilde Poulat. Beautiful repousse work and perfectly finished with amethyst and turquoise. Both combs bear clear, well impressed block Matl hallmarks --- from her earliest production. The silver measures four inches across and 1 inch down on combs that are 4 1/8" across and 1 3/4" down. In excellent vintage condition. A very rare Matl offering that is all at once beautiful, large scaled, and still delicate.
