Wonderful, early vintage Mexican silver bracelet. Nine links of repeating design created in repousse are interspersed with handmade silver spheres stacked three high in a style quite similar to that of the classic bracelets from Hector Aguilar. Each link bears a well detailed, possibly repousse smithed, pre-hispanic inspired figure. Chunky and thick, this ca. 1930s-40s bracelet has an almost bakelite like feel to it. In very good vintage condition with a pin style close. Measures 8" by 1&q ...click for details

Though not familiar with the silversmith by name, the piece is numbered indicating to us that the smith was of greater prestige in and had some familiarity with the Masters of Rena ...click for details

At the same time the construction and feel are distinctly vintage Mexico. A thick cut of silver design is laid over a second thick silver back. Niello technique is used to create highlight, shadow, depth. Good fit is achieved with the slightly concave shape to the links. Measures 7" long and 1" wide.
