Very pretty Margot de Taxco vintage silver and amethyst bracelet. Intricately designed and executed silver heart links. Open backed bezel settings hold eight higher grade amethyst cabochons with few internal inclusions. Dimensions to bracelet are 7" long by 1 5/8" wide. A rather regal and imposing vintage Mexican silver brooch created in repousse. Silver work forms something of a head-dress around central stone carved face. Larger size at 2 3/4" long and 2" wide. Very early c-close functions well. Warmly patinated with original oxidation. Marked for Sterling content and Mexico origin with a hallmark that I have seen on very early (ca. 1930s) silver pieces that bear a strong resemblance to the early work of Matilde Poulat. Most unusual, quite lovely vintage Margot de Taxco enamel bracelet. This is the only piece I have seen done in this way. Margot's beautiful enamel technique, here creating a repeating pattern of finely drawn bows against a white~blue background, has been done on a copper backing with matching copper jump links.
