A wonderful, large scale burnished piece with likely attribution to Galvan. A most delightful vintage Mexican folk art piece, finished by hand, with a stone, to a rich, honey sheen. Bearing well executed, detailed scenes of animals and birds. Fantastic patina on this piece. In fine vintage condition - without cracks ~ small chipping as shown to goose beak and light paint loss at face.

Beautiful vintage * antique Mexican tin nicho, ca. late 1800s/early 1900s. This finely stamped piece has everything that one might very well hope to find in a vintage Mexican tin nicho. Hand stamping that is lovely, and idiosyncratic left to right and top to bottom. Larger size and in excellent vintage condition. Marked on reverso for folk art collection from which this piece comes. Original tin backing no longer present. A fine example of this Mexican art form.

A wonderful vintage Mexican pottery ~ ceramic whistle of anthropomorphic form. Mexican ceramic ~ pottery whistles are an art form which dates back to early, pre-Colombian eras and has continued to be made to the present day. This charming hand formed piece is vintage, ca. 1970s-80s with a polychromatic finish that has been cold painted (not fired) onto the clay. In fine vintage condition with the exception of two missing spots of paint on the back. A delightful piece.

A wonderful, early piece of vintage Mexican pottery, ca. 1940s. This piece, done in a style referred to as 'bandera' for its use and incorporation of the colors of the Mexican flag, bears a hand painted and glazed iconic image * quite unusual for Bandera pieces * of the Eagle, the Serpent, all on a Nopal Cactus. The piece is early and has that wonderfully pleasing 'light' feel to it. In excellent vintage condition with a certain whimsy to its hand painted and glazed surfaces.

Wonderful vintage ceramic figures from Mexico, with likely attribution to Julian Acero, Santa Cruz de las Huertas. Hand formed cow and calf on classic Acero base. Dynamic and expressive sculpting. Finished almost completely with vegetable/natural dyes. In fine vintage condition with the exception of single missing ear to calf. A wonderful piece of vintage Mexican folk art.

A most wonderful, flower covered vintage ceramic bull with likely attribution to Natividad Ortega. Purchased from original owner. Delightful, whimsical piece by important Grande Dame of a most significant ceramic family of Mexico. In fine vintage condition with the exception of needed repair to the bull's horn and a difficult to find repair to a green flower. Stands 14" tall by 15" long by 5" across base.
