Early vintage Mexican tin frame ~ nicho. Very well executed stamp work throughout. Large size. Measures 26 3/4" long by 19" wide ('ear' to 'ear'). Inner window measures 13 3/4" by 10". Lovely lithograph. The tin is in fine vintage condition with oxidation throughout. Needs a hang hook. Lithograph has water damage along the outer portion (photographed.) A nice, early and large piece of Mexican folk art.

Rather wonderful, super-sized vintage tin nicho from Mexico. Marvelous stamp work almost seem to crown the image of the well beloved Virgin of Guadalupe that this early tin Mexican nicho contains. Oversize dimensions measure 25 1/2" by 15" (including the tin corona and 'ears'). Original glass bears a crack (as photographed.) Fine piece whose tin works sings to sing an exaltation.

This wonderful authentic ex voto from Mexico expresses gratitude to the Virgin of Guadalupe for a miracle granted. On the first day of the New Year, the author was driving with his family along a dangerous stretch of road. This is the second of two most unusual and compelling vintage Mexican devotional figures. This one appears to be a king or possibly one of the wise men. Rather unusual and quite rare Mexican vintage figure. One of two wise men or possibly kings that once graced the space above a portal in a San Luis Potosi private devotional space (family chapel). Colonial Mexican or early 1900's piece. Made with carved wood then covered and fashioned with a technique known as estafata. Opaque style wedding pitcher features the classic graphics of the house in the country on one side and country villager out among the cactus and agave on the other side. This is a vintage Tree of Life from the Flores family, ca. 1960s-70s. Traditional Mexican folk art form hand made from clay has candle holders and polychromatic decoration. Lovely details including central Santos/Madonna figure, applied flowers and birds. In very good vintage condition with some surface scratching but appearing to be free from repairs. Colors still rich and vibrant. Stands approximately 18" tall by 14" across.

Wonderful Virgin of Guadalupe Tree of Life from the Flores Family. A rarely seen theme in trees of life. This wonderful piece was made by the last member of the Flores family dedicated to this marvelous folk art and tradition. In very good condition with slight paint loss on arm of largest figure.
