A beautiful jeweled vintage Mexican silver collar ~ adorned with amethyst and original, natural turquoise. This marvelous piece features an opulent wrap of wide links (1 1/8") each of which is embellished with fancy cut amethysts and a double row of turquoise. The style, very much reminiscent of the work of Matilde Poulat, has been created by a taller, out of Mexico City, the founding member of which did, in fact train with and work in the Taller of Maestra Poulat. This piece, ca. 1970s-80s ...click for details

A most fine and very early vintage Mexican silver bracelet from the Taller of Maestro Hector Aguilar. Known as the 'Old Maguey' this design is most likely the work of incredibly talented Valentin Vidaurreta. A remarkable piece, created from start to finish by hand: a process which includes the hand rolling or hammering of the silver into a desired gauge, hand cutting and chasing all elements, and working the piece into this whole. And, what a spectacular finish this piece is -- perfectly ...click for details

A classic design from the taller of Maestro Hector Aguilar - the New Maguey. Beautiful gage of silver and rounded edges characterize the magical design. There is a host of information discussing the import of the Maguey to the original peoples of Mexico. This design is a moving tribute to the cultures, values and traditions of Pre-Hispanic Mexico. A fine and handsome vintage Mexican silver bracelet by Maestro Antonio Pineda. A design that well manifests Don Antonio's brilliant editing of a design to its most minimal, modern lines. This very rare bracelet is, I believe, also one of Antonio Pineda's best 'nature' inspired pieces ~ and represents a school of fish. According to Maestro Antonio, he quite loved the sea and spent a good deal of time at his home in Acapulco. This piece is in fine vintage condition with some surfa ...click for details

A marvelous, rare vintage Mexican silver bracelet from the Margarita Taller. A weighty, well constructed piece with amethyst cylinders ingenuously, and artistically mounted ~ floated into the center of concave links of silver. Worked in 970 silver and leaving one with the impression that the designer of this piece must have been inspired by and quite possibly trained at the Taller of Antonio Pineda. In fine vintage condition with some flea bites to the amethyst ~ consistent with the age of the p ...click for details
