Here is a splendid moth or butterfly made from rose gold and gems. There are 24 rose cut diamonds set in silver topped gold. Also 8 rubies, 4 sapphires, and 4 pearls. It is unmarked, but tests 10kt. It weighs a solid 14.2g, and measures 1-3/4” x 1-1/4”. There is a decorative loop just above the eyes which would allow a chain for converting it to a necklace. It shows signs of having been repaired where the center of the pin stem assembly attaches to the brooch, but is in excellent condition, and ...click for details

This stick pin is marked “k20” on the back. It tests for a very strong 20kt, possibly a bit more. It is small and simple, but very sweet. The flower head measures ˝ x 7/8”, and the whole pin is 2-1/2” long. The pin is a bit bent, not surprisingly given the high gold content (please see photos), otherwise in excellent condition. Circa 1900.

This stunning and quintessentially Art Nouveau ring will make you very happy, if you love beautiful ladies' faces. It weighs 3.5 grams and is approximately size 7. The accent diamond is of an older cut. The lady’s face measures approximately 1/2” x 5/8”. A small bit of the setting was broken, so I have had it laser soldered. The jeweler who did the soldering told me he thought this piece actually comes out of the 1970s Art Nouveau Revival. I really don’t know if he is correct or not, but men ...click for details

Everything about this piece is right, and so pretty! The enamel is lovely, detailed, and subtle. The use of seed pearls and an accent diamond is perfect. It is both a brooch and a pendant, and the bale folds down neatly so that it’s invisible when worn as a brooch. Unmarked, 14k rose gold, about 33 pearls, and an approximately .02 full cut old diamond, just slightly chipped. The jewel measures 1” in diameter. The enamel appears to be slightly cracked on one leaf, which is really hard to see, oth ...click for details

This pretty little pin is very Art Nouveau! A lady’s face is surrounded by ribbons and flourishes, some set with seed pearls. It is either 9kt gold or gold filled; I just can’t tell. 1-1/8” x 7/8”. Her nose and chin are a little worn, and the metal could use brightening up a bit, otherwise, it’s in excellent antique condition. The pin stem assembly is mounted in a somewhat unusual fashion – please see photos. Circa 1900.

This beautiful lavalier is made from 10k rose gold, with the two little swirls at the bottom being a greenish gold. In a straight line down from the bale are a seed pearl, an opal with excellent color, and an oval amethyst. There are a further 6 tiny seed pearls. It is marked 10k on the bale, and measures 1 x 7/8" not including the bale. There is a slight color variation of the rose gold in the bottom left quadrant, and I don’t know what caused it, but it doesn’t have any impact on the beau ...click for details

Between the engraved numbers: “4 8 44”; and the cut of the stones, I’m assuming this ring comes out of the 1940s – though there’s obviously nothing Retro about it! It has a very definite Edwardian/Art Nouveau look to it, with that cross-over design. There are 10 single cut diamonds, a couple of them chipped. The shank has parallel lines carved (?) into it, but at the back the lines are faint, and it’s possible the ring has been sized at some point. Otherwise in very good condition.
