This lovely ring shows a Gibson Girl in profile, with golden hair cascading down to an accent diamond in the tip of a curl. The ring is marked and tests as 14k gold, in a lovely rich yellow color. The Gibson Girl head with hair measures 5/8 x 3/8”, and the ring weighs 2.4g. Size 5-3/4 plus a bit. I have a stick pin on Trocadero with the same design, except instead of the diamond, it sports a pearl. I’ve seen a piece by Alling with the same design, so this might have been made by them. This sweetheart of a ring in the Art Nouveau style is a continual band of blue enameled flowers (each centered by a diamond), pink enameled foliage, and trails of more tiny diamonds. Just beautiful! Made from 18k yellow gold (and marked 18k, as well as having a maker's mark), it is hefty yet elegant and graceful. It weighs in at 8.5 grams, and contains 30 points of a carat in diamonds (just under 1/3 carat). I can have it made for you in any size, and you can choose different enamel colors i ...click for details

Here is an interesting pair of identical pins from the Art Nouveau era. They feature a woman’s face flanked by flowers; their hair is greenish! I have been unable to determine what the metal is, so assume base metal. They measure 1-1/4” x ˝”. The pin stem assemblies are old, but they may be replacements. Circa 1900. NOTE that we will only accept a check for this lot. Thanks.

This sweet jewel consists of a circle of gold enameled in deep blue, with gold highlights. Through it is tied a 3-looped bow, decorated with tiny seed pearls, as are the bail and drop. There are a few places where the enamel appears to have been applied less than perfectly, and a couple very tiny chips, but these very minor flaws are visible only with magnification. It is stamped 15kt gold, but I just noticed that there is a place on the back where it looks as though someone made a repair using ...click for details

This lovely depiction of St. Joan of Arc is signed by Unger (U and B intertwined and the words STERLING 925 FINE surrounding them in a circle). She is surrounded by fleur de lys and lilies, as is proper, and seems to be holding a sword. The brooch measures 1-1/8” in diameter, and is in excellent antique condition, with an appropriate patina. Circa 1900.

Here is a lovely and graceful fairy, made in the Art Nouveau style. Brand new, she still conveys the design ethos of a bygone era. She is made from 18k yellow gold, and her wings are plique a jour (translucent enamel). The colors shade from pink almost to white, and then into green. Her golden hair is accented by a round brilliant cut diamond, and at her feet is a cultured pearl dangle. The back is marked for 18k, and has a maker’s mark. The total length is about 1-5/8”, and her wingspan is jus ...click for details

This pendant is classic Arts & Crafts. Signed by Queensway, and marked Sterling Silver, it sports beautiful enamel which fades from cobalt blue into a dark green. The dropper is a blister pearl set in silver. It measures 1-3/8” (including the drop, but not the jump ring) x 1-1/8”. The nice old unmarked chain is probably original to the piece. It tests for 90-100% silver, and is 17”. Both have a nice patina, and the central panel of enamel is chipped, but you really have to look closely to no ...click for details

This classic brooch features a ribbon and flower motif, with a ring of white enamel in the center. The central pearl is most probably original, but the pearl dangle may be a replacement (as so many are). It is marked with the French eagle on the C-clasp, and an illegible maker’s mark, as well as a fairly clear partial mark on the pin stem, and a faint mark on the dangle’s ring. It looks to me as though it could have been made by the famous French jeweler, L. Gautrait. The workmanship is excellen ...click for details

Here is a lovely necklace from the 1970s, depicting two dolphins, back-to-back, with a rosette of silver beads between them, and 3 articulated carnelian drops, which sway with every move. This is a really charming necklace, which can be worn on any occasion. Marked 925 for sterling silver, it weighs 9.1g or .32 oz. The dolphins and drops measure 1-1/12” x 1-11/16", and with the chain the whole thing measures 16”. Very wearable, very sweet.
