$125

This stick pin is marked “k20” on the back. It tests for a very strong 20kt, possibly a bit more. It is small and simple, but very sweet. The flower head measures ˝ x 7/8”, and the whole pin is 2-1/2” long. The pin is a bit bent, not surprisingly given the high gold content (please see photos), otherwise in excellent condition. Circa 1900.

Can’t say enough about the gorgeousness of this ring! Composed of 3 opals in a straight line N to S, and 4 light blue (Montana?) sapphires in a square, all set in an oval of gold leaves and vines. The stones are set into a plate on the setting’s underside, which I’ve never seen before. The way the blues and greens of the luminous opals work with the blue of the sapphires is really lovely. Unsigned, but marked “14k” on the plate. The opals are in very nice condition. The sapphires are not particu ...click for details

This Arts & Crafts necklace has a very stylized heart motif, entwined with an oval, centered by a peridot, with a peridot dangle. It is marked “9ct” and has a maker’s mark of “B.H.J.” Though it’s hard to tell in most of the photos, this is very rosy gold! Some of the reddest that I’ve seen. From the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop it measures 1-3/4” by 1” across the widest point. The 2 peridots show a little bit of abrasion, but considering their age, they are in very good condi ...click for details

This is a fabulous, striking piece. The design is a cross-over between the Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Edwardian aesthetics – it’s fascinating how all the movements of that era influenced each other! It is unmarked, but tests strongly for 18kt gold. The gold is a nice rich yellow, but is largely unnoticeable because of the lovely enameling: greens into yellows into oranges. It is highlighted with 6 diamonds, with an estimated total diamond weight of one half of one carat (50 points). The ...click for details

This lovely piece evokes the designs of Archibald Knox, Murrle, Bennett & Co., and their ilk. Measuring 1-3/4” from the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop, and 7/8” wide, it is a noticeable piece. The gold is rosy, and it’s marked “9” and “375” for 9 karat gold, however it tests higher than that. It is centered by a greenish cabochon, and there’s another of a slightly different color in the drop. There is a maker’s mark which consists of what looks like an “H” and another, illegible, ...click for details

Here we have a pretty 9k yellow gold pendant. It shows a bit of Edwardian or Victorian influence, with its 3 tiny seed pearls in their flower settings, but the design is very much Arts & Crafts. It is centered by a dark red garnet, possibly a spessartite. The dangle is set with a blister pearl of a mellow grayish white. It is hallmarked “9ct”, and the attached chain is marked “375 9k” (which is odd – possibly the chain was made somewhere other than the USA or the UK?). The pendant measures 1 ...click for details
