| This lovely old watch was designed to grace the bodice of an elegant lady at the turn of the last century. The dial is white enamel with black numbers. The delicate hands are gold and the minutes are picked out in gold. The back features a nouveau maiden in profile with a flower in her hair. The edges are adorned with a pleasing pattern. The watch is 1-1/8” in diameter, 5/16” thick. On the inside of the cover are hallmarks: “Swiss”, “FZ 0.800” in a rectangular cartouche, with the Coq de Bruyere for Romanshorn, and the number “18585”. The mechanism is marked with the Coq de Bruyere for Le Noirmont. (The interpretation of the marks is quoted from the person from whom I acquired it). The photos include another mark, which is a vertical R and S, and A and F, separated by an arrow. It is in very good external condition, and it looks like it’s in good condition inside, but it is not running; I believe it can be fixed. | ||
