| These were such an exciting find! A pair of cuff links depicting gentlemen wearing turbans! I’ve never seen anything like them. It’s so rare to find men depicted in jewelry, much less what I think are Bedouins, those romantic gypsies of the desert. Given the diamonds, could they perhaps represent a sheikh? They measure 3/4 x 5/8" and weigh 0.16oz/4.5g. The gold of the faces is a slightly different color than that of the turbans. In excellent condition, and circa 1900. | ||
