Hand carved oak leaves and acorns are quite desirable designs on this Swiss lindenwood book slide. Folding bookslides were favored by victorians for traveling. 12 1/2" X 5 1/4". When fully extended 18 1/4". The end panels are 6" tall. There has been glue repair on one end panel(seen in last photo of backside as it hardly shows on front side). What a chic way to recycle organic, AND add to your collection of treasures!

Hand made of twigs and branches harvested directly from nature this charming folk art piece is ideal for your cabin or lodge! Pearlized celluloid inset with a brass and possibly silver plate religious medal, this precious missal was used to commemorate a child's first communion.The fixative holding the medal to the small satin window has released but is still encased under the viewing window. Original brass locking hinge engraved IHS. Text in Spanish, printed in Argentina, with gilt edged pages. Measures 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" There are Italian and German Prayer Books available !

This fabulous matched pair of 1800's medium weight,crisp linen (perhaps a little cotton...but definatly organic!) sheets is trimmed with 4 1/2" of drippy and fancy hand crocheted lace. The hem and lace are all attached by hand with tiny little stitches! The bottom of each is embroidered in turkey red L.Z. as a laundry mark.
