Set of three large graduated Japanese Arita porcelain serving bowls, each decorated in underglaze blue with a landscape scene featuring a temple set against craggy mountains and trees. A flowing band of scrolling foliage encircles the exterior. Probably late Meiji Period (circa 1900 to early 20th century). Base marked. In diameter, each measures: 10," 8 7/8" and 7 1/2." Japanese Edo Period woodblock print triptych titled "The Loyal Story of Kagami-yama" depicting the court lady Iwafuji berating her maid Onoe, while Ohatsu listens from behind a screen by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861). Signed "Ichiryusai Kuniyoshi ga" and "Chooro Kuniyoshi ga" and with red kiri seal on all panels. Published by Ibaya Senzaburo (Dansendo) circa 1852. 9 1/2" diameter Imari "sansui" (landscape) design scalloped edge plate decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze red and green pigment with extensive gilt highlights set against a white porcelain ground. The base bears a small underglaze blue seal and a single spur mark. Late Meiji Period (late 19th century). Very good overall condition. There are a few surface scratches in the glaze but no chips or cracks.

Chinese Jin Dynasty (1125-1234) truncated meiping vase with a rounded body, two lug handles, and a short neck ending in a dish-shaped mouth. It is decorated with a light green colored glaze, which extends down toward the unglazed base. 11"H. Very good overall condition. One small rim chip and some degradation and losses to the thin glaze.
