Japanese Meiji period Imari porcelain 7 1/4” diameter x 3” deep bowl. The center of the bowl holds a central circular medallion with a stylized floral pattern pattern in underglaze blue (sometsuke). The interior and exterior sides are decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze polychrome enamel with gilt highlights and features three cartouches with flying phoenix birds on a white ground separated by rust-red and gilt medallions holding an animal motif set against a cobalt ground. Japanese Kyoto Satsuma tea service consisting of a lidded tea pot, a lidded sugar bowl, a creamer, and two cup and saucer sets. Each piece is decorated with polychrome enamel butterflies, wild flowers and grasses set against a cream colored crackle glaze ground. Green bamboo form handles accent the serving pieces. Massive Japanese bronze tripod censer decorated on each side with a panel featuring peacocks and birds in high relief. Stylized bird handles. Elephant finial mounted to a cover decorated with stylized waves. Late Meiji to Taisho Period (1880-1920). Measures about 14"H x 12" diameter (including handles). Very good overall condition with a nice aged patina. One handle is firmly secured but is a bit loose. There are some repairs to the base and the bottom of the feet.
