Chinese Ming dynasty (16th century) blue and white porcelain meiping vase with bell-shaped cover decorated overall with classical lotus flowers among scrolling leafy stems, separated into three layers. The shoulder features the lotus-filled ruyi collar motif. 11 ¼” high (9 ¾” high without the lid). Very good overall condition with typical flaws and microscopic scratches to the glaze. SOLD 

Antique Chinese stem cup finely decorated with two opposing four-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls. A third dragon is in the interior of the cup. The stem features the wave patterned border popular on stem dishes of the late Tongzhi and early Guangxu Periods. Circa 1880 - 1900. 4 3/4" diameter of bowl by 3 3/8" high. Excellent overall condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. There is some wear to the enamels and gilt on the rim consistent with its age and use.

SOLD 

Chinese porcelain covered ginger jar decorated in famille rose enamels with three circular medallions featuring lush flowering plants set against a dense blue graviata ground covered with scattered floral sprays. The base bears an apocryphal square red seal form 6-character Qianlong mark. Late 19th to early 20th century. Stands about 7 ½” high. Very good overall condition. There is a faint hairline in the inner lid which is visible in enlargment 8, but can barely be seen with the naked eye.

Chinese Canton enamel card box exquisitely decorated in white on a lavender ground with flowering prunus trees on rocky outcroppings. The interior is brass with a nice old patina. This sizable box measures 7 1/2"L x 3 1/2"W x 2"H. Late Qing dynasty to early Republic period (circa 1900-1920). Very good overall condition with minor flaws consistent with its age.

Unusual Chinese late Qing dynasty to possibly early Republic (late 19th to early 20th century) hardwood stand used to hold opium pipe dampers. A single drawer with brass pull is used for the storage of smoking accessories. The back is nicely carved with a bamboo motif. 13"L x 2"D x 3"H. Chinese Ming Dynasty (1368-1643) covered jar decorated in underglaze blue with bird and floral designs. 16th century. 6 3/4"H. Very good overall condition. There are a few tiny chips to the underside of the lid (see enlargement 8). There is a small production dimple in the inside of the rim (see enlargement 12). It is not a chip or loss.

Chinese late Qing blue and white porcelain moonflask, or pilgrim vase, of flattened globular form decorated with a cracked ice and prunus ("bingmei") motif, which is also known as the Hawthorne pattern. Pair of Chinese Tang (618-907) to Five Dynasties (907-960) olive-gray glazed Yue ware 10-petal foliate lotus-leaf shaped shallow bowls with flat bases. The characteristic spur marks are in the interior of the bowls. Circa 9th/10th century. Each measures 1 5/8” high x 5 ½” diameter. There is a small rim chip and an old repair or firing imperfection to the side of one bowl and two small chips to the outside rim of the second bowl. Two rare Chinese Song dynasty qingbai (yingqing) glazed porcelain dishes of chrysanthemum form with thinly potted bodies, an upturned rim divided into twelve lobed petals by vertical ribs, and flat, slightly concave unglazed bases. Circa 10th - 11th century. 4 1/8” diameter. There are a few tiny flea bites at the rim which are visible under magnification.
