Chinese Yuan dynasty (1250-1350) blue-green qingbai (yingqing) shallow form dish, possibly used as a scholar's porcelain brush washer, with flat glazed base and unglazed rim finely decorated with a central impress-moulded pair of fish swimming among water plants within a patterned band. Significant traces of the metal band that once protected the porcelain remain on the rim. There are tiny hairline cracks around the interior cavetto which appear to be from the original production. Large Chinese Jin dynasty (1125-1234) Henan globular form stoneware jar with a high neck decorated on opposite sides of the shoulder with two appliqué dragons running around the circumference of the horizontally ribbed body. The interior is fully glazed and the exterior glaze stops well above the unglazed base. The rich black/brown glaze, referred to as “temmoku” by the Japanese, is permeated with russet accents. 7 3/4" high x 9" diameter.

Chinese Yuan to early Ming dynasty very heavily potted melon form sugary textured pale bluish-white porcelain lidded teapot decorated with moulded stylized birds on opposing sides. A prominent luting line is visible around the mid-section of the ribbed body and the interior is glazed. Small loops are at the edge of the lid and top of the rounded handle for attachment. Chinese Northern Song (960-1127) dynasty qingbai (yingqing) porcelain glazed bowl with relatively straight sides and slightly flared rim decorated on the interior with combed abstract swirling floral patterns. The smooth, thin, crackled olive-green glaze pools in the center and accumulates at the exterior foot. The low foot is unglazed, revealing a gray-white body. 10th/11th century. 7” diameter x 2 3/8” high. Very good overall condition. This bowl is from a Phoenix, Arizona collection.

Chinese late 19th century porcelain vase with a tall cylindrical neck rising from a globular body decorated overall in a rich Lang yao type deep red monochrome glaze, referred to as Sang de beouf or ox blood. The base and interior are covered in a crackled glaze with a faint celadon tint. Stands about 10 ¼” high by 5 ¾” diameter. Very good overall condition with a few minor scratches to the glaze.

Tall Chinese Liao dynasty (947-1124) heavily potted porcelain lidded jar with a wide mouth, straight neck, and wide shoulders which taper to the foot. The vessel is decorated with three vertical rows of four applique roundels which separate the piece into three equal parts. These roundels are a distinctive feature of Liao wares.
