Japanese woodblock print featuring a bird perched on a rose bush by Ohno Bakufu (1888-1976). Printed in the early 1950s by Kyoto Hanga-in. Three red rectangular seals in the lower left margin contain the printer's, carver's and publisher's information in kanji. The artist's signature in Japanese and English yellow pigment ("B. Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Peking glass flattened bulbous form snuff bottle finely decorated on each side in incised ruby overlay with a mythical bird walking among pine and rockery set against a frosted clear ground filled with bubbles of varying sizes. The glass stopper appears to be original. Raised oval base. 19th century or possibly earlier. Measures about 2 5/8"H x 1" wide. Very good overall condition. No spoon. From a Tucson estate.

Chinese fan painting on paper by Zhu Meicun (born 1911) depicting a solitary figure at the lower right seated among rockery and pines. The left side of the fan bears the artist's signature and red seal. The painting is dated above the signature in Chinese cycle years summer of "ping xu" (1946). 11 1/2"H, solidly potted 18th century Chinese monochrome vase covered on the exterior in a brown stained crackled apple green glaze and on the interior and recessed base with a pale green brown stained crackled glaze. Large and heavily potted late 19th century Japanese porcelain deep bowl decorated with a central "sometsuke" (underglaze blue) dragon cartouche surrounded by underglaze blue floating circular floral cartouches all set against a celadon ground.
