Japanese mid-Showa period (circa 1945-1960) brilliant yellow cloisonne vase decorated with a Chinese style landscape featuring traditional buildings set in a scene of rocky mountains, greenery, and running water. Chrome rims. 7"H x 3 5/8" diameter at the shoulder. An impressed "Made in Japan Cloisonne" mark is on the bottom rim. Excellent condition. The long, narrow neck gradually flares at the mouth, which is accented with rows of incised abstract triangular-form petals. The bottom is similarly bordered.
