Pair of Japanese "mingei" (folk art) copper lined "domaru" (tree trunk) kiri wood hibachi of squat, globular form, with attractive graining and good patina to the copper liners. Late Meiji to Taisho period (early 20th century). Each measures just over 8"H x 12" diameter. Very good overall condition. There are some small scattered nicks and gouges in the wood. Japanese round-form bronze kagami (mirror) decorated in relief with a motif of cranes among pines. Large Japanese 19th century Imari porcelain 9 5/8” diameter x 3 ¾”H deep bowl. This piece was quite likely produced for New Year's celebration purposes in the year of the rabbit. A central roundel is bordered in an underglaze blue comb pattern band.
