| Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain censer decorated around the exterior in underglaze blue stylized lotus flowers and scrolling foliage set against a white porcelain ground. A stylized ruyi band extends around the circumference under the rim. Early 19th century (Jiaqing to Daoguang period). Measures 6 1/8” diameter by 3 3/8” high. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. There are tiny production imperfections and burst glaze bubbles. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s. The censer was purchased in Guangzhou in 1986 at the Friendship Store. At that time, it was dated 170 years old. | ||||||||||||
