Japanese Woodblock Print Kogyo Noh Theater Michimori
Illustration of a scene from the Noh theater titled "The Spirit of the Warrior Michimori of the Heike Clan" from the series "One Hundred Noh Dramas" by Kogyo Tsukioka (1869-1927), published by Daikoku-ya between 1922-1926. Very good impression quality with gold and silver metallic highlights on the robes. Standard vertical oban print measuring 14 7/8"V x 10"H. Two narrow tape stains show through from the back (one each at the center of the top and bottom edges extending into the image about 1/8"). There is a tiny nick in the paper at one side.
