Japanese Woodblock Print Kogyo Noh Theater Scene
Illustration of a scene from Noh theater from the series "One Hundred Noh Dramas" by Kogyo Tsukioka (1869-1927) published by Daikoku-ya between 1922-1926. Very good impression quality with extensive use of gold and silver metallic highlights on all three robes. The wood grain is clearly evident in the background. Standard vertical oban print measuring about 14 7/8"V x 10"H. There are two small pieces of tape on the back at the center top and bottom and the back is faintly toned. Two small spots are barely evident in the background at the top of the image above the structure's roof.
