| Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "Moon Over Kiyosumi Garden" by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) dated in the lower left margin 1st month of Showa 13 (January 1938). Lifetime edition (1946-1957) bearing the Watanabe .6cm circular seal at the lower right. The artist's black ink signature and red seal are above the publisher's seal at the lower right corner of the image. Paper size: 15 1/4"V x 10 1/4"H (image size nearly 14 3/8"H x 9 1/2"V). Very good overall condition. There is a small repaired tear in the upper margin and very faint mat burn evident within the margin. The back is slightly waxy from prior dry mounting. There are two narrow vertical puckers in the paper along the left margin. This image is color illustrated as plate 424 in Volume 2 of "Kawase Hasui: The Complete Woodblock Prints" by Kendall H.
