2 Chinese Qing Guangxu Famille Rose Porcelain Stemcups
Pair of Chinese Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain stemcups decorated in famille rose enamels with flowering leafy plants. A circular leafy floral medallion is at the interior center of each wide-mouthed cup. The bottom of the stem is bordered with upright plantain leaves. The hollow stem is glazed and the unglazed foot has sand grit adhering. Each stemcup measures about 5 5/8 diameter x 3 5/8 high. Circa 1900. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. There are minor production imperfections, including a small firing flaw on the rim of one cup. There is slight wear to the gilt on the rim consistent with its age and use. These stemcups are from a Tucson, Arizona estate.
