| Chinese late Ming dynasty porcelain guan form jar with wide shoulders tapering to a flat, unglazed base decorated in underglaze blue with lotus flowers and scrolling foliage on a white ground. A short, cylindrical neck ends with an applied light brown wash at the rim. The interior is fully glazed. A luting line is faintly visible at the waist and can be seen and felt on the inside. Measures 5 7/8” high by about 5 ½” diameter. 17th century. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This vase is from the private collection of a former American diplomat to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987. | |||||||||||||
