| Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period cylindrical form lidded tea caddy decorated on the front and cover in underglaze blue with the “one hundred antiques” motif on a white porcelain ground. A lone stylized butterfly is on the back. A band of objects encircles the rim of the lid. The interior and base are glazed but the mouth rim, interior edge of the lid, and foot rim are unglazed. 5 5/8” high x 5” diameter. Late 19th/early 20th century. Very good overall condition. There are small chips to the edge of the mouth rim which are covered by the lid. Please note that the “sparkles” on the lid are from the camera flash. This tea caddy is from the private collection of a former American diplomat to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987. | ||||||||||||||
