| Japanese woodblock print titled "Ueno Park" by Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) dated 1933. The print depicts a maiko in kimono standing under cherry blossoms overlooking a lake and pagoda at Ueno Park. The lower left margin contains the cartouche of the publisher Doi Hangaten and an offset cartouche bearing the names of the printer Yokoi and the carver Harada, thus dating this impression somewhere between 1936 and 1965. The Doi watermark is in the upper left margin corner. The print is in very good overall condition. It does not appear to have been previously framed. This large print measures 16 7/8"V x 11 1/8"H (image: 15 1/2"V x 10"H). There is light to moderate toning verso. | |||||||||
