| Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "Hirosaki Castle" by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) dated Showa 10 (1935). 1st edition impression with "jizure" (self-printed) seal in the upper left margin. The artist's black ink brush signature and red seal is at the lower left and the print is pencil-signed in the lower right margin. Illustrated in "The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi," Abe Publications, color plate #192. Paper measures 16 1/8"V x 11"H (image size: 14 5/8"V x 9 5/8"H). The print is somewhat faded and very faintly toned but is otherwise in very good overall condition with large margins. | |||||||||
