Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Verte Saucer Kangxi
Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Kangxi period (1662-1722), c.1700-1720. Mark: An Artemisia leaf symbol mark in overglaze iron-red, in a double circle in underglaze blue. Saucer on footring with a straight rim and glazed base. Polychrome "famille verte" decorated in various overglaze enamels. Overall decorated with flowering plants growing from pierced rockwork with flying butterflies and insects, round the rim a "silkworm" pattern border. Dimensions: Height: 24 mm (0.94 inch), Diameter: 113 mm (4.45 inch), Diameter of footring: 60 mm (2.36 inch). Condition: A chip to the footring and some small frits to the rim.
