| Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Qianlong period (1736-1795), c.1750. A marvellous saucer on footring with spreading sides and a spreading rim. Polychrome decorated in various overglaze enamels, iron-red and gold. Decorated in the centre with a roundel filled with a flower basket with hanging tassels. On the interior wall three scalloped cartouches with a flower spray. The central representation surrounded by iron-red flower scrolls on a gold ground. The reverse is undecorated. Dimensions: Height: 17 mm (0.67 inch), Diameter: 105 mm (4.13 inch), Diameter of footring: 59 mm (2.32 inch). Condition: A short hairline and a few, very tiny 1 mm (0.04 inch), shallow glaze fleabites to the rim. | ||
