Alfred Edward Chalon, c. 1835. Water color portrait of a lady, attributed to Alfred Edward Chalon. The lady is depicted wearing a black dress with puffed sleeves and lace trim, a white veil, her hair in ringlets, seated on a red upholstered chair in a woodland. Gilt metal frame. Oval, 10 cms. Diameter (4 inches).

A portrait of a beautiful little girl with fair hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue, smocked dress with blue headband and holding a stuffed animal. Signed in pencil to reverse, “F Boyd Walters RMS”. Oval, 7 ½ cms. diameter (2 ¾ inches). With rectangular frame, 12 cms. X 10 cms. (5 inches X 4 inches).
The Canadian miniaturist, Frederick Boyd Walters was a member of the Royal Miniature Society, London.
