Portrait miniature of a woman by Gertrude Clarke, c. 1900. The water colour portrait depicts the woman in 3/4 pose facing right. The woman, with upswept grey hair and blue eyes, is wearing a high neck lace dress with blue glass beads. Against a pastel blue background. Original brass frame. Oval, 5 1/2 cms. diameter (2 1/2 inches). Very good condition.

19th Century (c. 1840) English School. Water color on card. Portrait of a girl, with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a white dress with pale blue waistband and coral necklace. Rectangular papier-mache frame with embossed brass slip. The miniature, oval, 12 1/2 cms. X 9 1/2 cms. (4 3/4 inches X 3 3/4 inches). Very pretty child with portrait in above average condition. Papier-mache frame also good conditon. A nice, decorative portrait.
