| German School. Early 19th century oil on copper painting of a child and dog. Inscribed indistinctly to obverse, ------- The Girl, The Cake -----". Lovely period frame with blue tartan spandrels. Painting, 25.5 cms. X 10.5 cms. (9 1/2 inches X 8 inches). With frame, 35 cms. X 29 cms. (14 inches x 11 1/2 inches). Interesting article from "Antiques Trade Gazette", dated 26 February 1994, attached to reverse, referencing a Flight & Barr mug with the same picture, which sold for 1150 Pounds Sterling. Painting is in excellent condition. Frame is in very good condition. | ||||||||
