The wear, the patina and the repairs attest to the age of this piece of Naga adornment.
Made up of six oblong and one round piece of decorated brass with a bone button, it measures 32 inches long (including the woven closure), so it was undoubtedly used by a man. The round central piece has two holes at the bottom, so it is missing that decorative element. The right side of the second brass piece from the left has been redrilled and the connecting twine has broken there. Beyond that it could be wearable if one has the correct waist. |
