Nice close-up view of two monkeys sitting on a palm frond in the Monkey Jungle south of Miami, FL. Imported from Malay, this was the first monkey colony in the US and in 1933, the monkeys were liberated into a natural jungle hammock near Gould, Florida. By 1950, most of the monkeys were native born. Condition is fine with minor corner bumps. Card has Monkey Jungle stamped twice on the reverse side. Published by Tichnor Brothers, Boston. |
