17th - 18th Century Tibetan Bone Apron
Five finely carved large pieces and four smaller squares joined by a network of small bone pieces, all held together on a leather band. Depicting different deities, guardians and dancing figures. The five larger pieces and the two central squares are estimated 17th to 18th century; the two other squares are newer pieces. Two pieces have been broken and repaired -- the second and the last from the left. Measurements vary between 5 1/2" (14 cm.) and 6 1/2" (16.5 cm.) while the entire band is 24" (60 cm.) across.
