This is a magnificent greyware vase or hu from ancient China. It dates to at least the Han period (209 BC- 220 AD) but is likely from the Warring States period (circa 500 BC). There are soil encrustations and remnants of root fibers on the surface. There are no signs of repair or restoration. This exciting little piece is a grey pottery urn from the Han Dynasty of ancient China (206 BC - 220 AD). It has a plain but elegant shape with incised line decoration. This item is a charming little grey pottery container from the Han Dynasty of ancient China (or perhaps earlier). It has soil encrustations and traces of root fibers on the surface.
