Priceless Past

$495

This is a very nice pottery vessel from the Ban Chiang culture in ancient Thailand, Udon Province (circa 200 BC). It has very intricate, geometric designs typical of Ban Chiang pieces. The designs are both incised into the clay and then painted. Incised and painted, pedestaled pottery is one of the rarest types. As with most ancient pottery, this piece has been professionally restored from large fragments. It is roughly 18cm tall. Pieces such as this regularly sell for over $1000. Priced $9-$29 sold in lots or individually

This is a collection of bronze (and some bone) arrow points from ancient China. Most of the bronze points will date to either the Warring States or Han periods (475 BC - 220 AD). The bone points are possibly as old as neolithic (pre 1700 BC). There were too many of these to list individually so I posted the entire collection. Email for specific prices. Pieces can be sold individually, in lots, or as a complete collection.

Priceless Past

$79

I have seen weapons such as this one described as everything from ancient Roman, Celtic and Chinese to medieval and on and on. Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. They are most likely 18th or 19th century. They have crudely decorated brass collars between the socket and blade. This one and the three others I have listed are in good condition with no signs of repair. ...click for details

Priceless Past

$2195

This is an awesome ancient Persian sword with a bronze handle and iron blade. The iron blade is still largely intact and stable. It is truly incredible for an iron blade to last the nearly 3000 years since its manufacture in circa 900 BC. This exceptional piece is 46.7 cm in length. You can see the rivets in the handle where it is attached to the blade. This is an excellent opportunity to add a truly unique sword to your collection.

$1495

This is a fine specimen of a bronze age sword from ancient Persia (circa 1200 BC). It measures roughly 554mm and weighs 599 grams. The metal is solid and stable. Though I cannot say for sure it does appear that the pommel may have been reattached. It appears as if the guard was inlaid originally. This is an excellent opportunity to add a unique piece to your collection.

This is e specimen you that is truly of museum quality. It is a fine bronze sword (jian) dating to the Warring States period of ancient China. It measures almost 62 cm (over 2 feet!) and weighs 688 grams. It has very precise decoration on the guard and concentric decor on the pommel. The guard decoration would have been inlaid with jade or turquoise. The rings on the pommel are cast so finely that even to this day they can not be replicated. The rings cut into the pommel are only 14 thousandths ...click for details
