| This is a great, round handle sword dating to the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC) of ancient China. Not only is this sword in fantastic condition with no repairs or significant damage but it has one of the most unique patinas I have ever seen. There is a rainbow of color in the remnants of wood fibers from the scabbard on the blade. The pictures do not do it justice. You can also see in the final enlargement (35x magnification) that there are some pristine botryoidal malachite crystals in the patina of the hilt. Ancient Asian bronze weapons are becoming extremely scarce and the prices are rising daily. Don't miss this chance to add such a great piece to your collection. | ||
