Han Dynasty Inlaid Bronze Crossbow Mechanism
This item is a very rare bronze crossbow mechanism from my personal collection. It weighs 297 grams and measures just over 12 cm in length. There are two features that make this piece a must for your collection. The first is that it has a decorative inlay that I believe is silver but I have not cleaned or treated it in any way to be certain. The second incredible feature is that the original pins for this piece were constructed of iron - not of bronze. There are remnants of the original pins in their sockets. There are also two holes in the rear of the mechanism tha possibly held some sort of sighting mechanism. These holes appear original to the piece and are also very unique features. This is the only such crossbow we have ever seen in private hands. Don't miss this incredible opportunity. Additional pics or information available on request if necessary.
