| This is perhaps the only ax of this type in private hands today. It is similar to smaller examples attributed by Moorey to the Amlash culture (circa 1200-1500 BC). The amazing thing about this piece is its size. It is nearly 30 cm in length and weighs 1733 grams. It is solid, stable, and intact with no signs of repair.
