Partial label underneath seats puts this to Lifetime furniture; grand rapids bookcase & chair company hastings michigan. Aside from that wonderful pegged everywhere construction, mortised through posts and rich colored quarter sawn oak. Rocker has new cushioned seat, weathered brown leather looking naugahyde. Rocker shows spots of paint which were scraped off years ago (close examination). Back is approx 33" high.
Arts and crafts era writing desk, properly cleaned old finish which does have some minor blemishes. Unsigned but the work of Cortland mfg with their distinctive triangle/pointed through tenons. New leatherette writing surface. Desk has one drawer, through tenons & pinned construction throughout. 28" deep, 29" high and 45 1/2" wide quick photo done as very busy, better ones to come!
I was told this previously had a Wakefield Bros label underneath from former owner. The former owner also kept the cushion for another chair but I can tell you this is one comfy piece! Bar Harbor styling to large swoop of arm, natural with brown color added. Back is approx 3' tall, width of arm is 4", nice slant back for an extremely comfortable chair.
