I believe this to be fluorite, possibly jadeite. Well carved bookends, asian figure & motifs, 3 dimensional trees. Large pieces approx 6" high, 4 1/2" wide, 2" deepest. There is some damage which is difficult to photograph because of the grain of stone.
This pair of cufflinks are actually menukis made into pins. Menukis are samuri sword decorations that would go on the hilt/handle. Each one is approx 1 5/8" long, possibly gold highlighted flowers over bronze backing with silver back done approx WWII era. The backround is a floral spray with what looks (to me) to be a cleaver. Cuff backing is high quality and marked silver. Actual age of menukis is unknown, we do know these were made into cufflinks pre1950.
