Beautiful still life pastel/charcoal by Marion Huse. Pitcher with blue bowl of fruit. A very unusual painting for Marion Huse as many of her pieces are landscapes, genres or portraits. A Springfield MA native we settled the estate of a student of Ms Huses and she owned some of her original works. The image itself is approx 10x16". Signed in the lower right corner Marion Huse. Painting was shown at gallery but never offered for sale from the artist. Great investment art and subject matter, Yucatan Penisula Mexico village scene. Two children walking near barbed wire fence. A very well executed cubist watercolor. I believe this to be from 1930-50's. It is signed in the lower right corner M Johnson (?) It is housed in original thin mahogany frame and original mat. The mat was oddly enough cut so the signature is not fully visible unless taken out. This can be rematted for a nominal fee. The watercolor itself is approx 14 1/2 x 15 3/4". Very nice 20th century style cubist watercolor.

Nice maritime painting by listed Danish artist Harald Hansen (1890-1967). Triple mast ship at sea painting approx 12x16". Housed in original frame. Hansen is very well known for his maritime paintings. Painting is probably c1930 but not dated, from an estate in New York.

Obviously a series of studies done in oil on paper for quick drying time. Possibly for class room or a showing of her work. Ruth Chaney b1908, NYC USA was a painter and printmaker.
