To say the least I'm a sucker at an antiques show for high quality wood grains and woodworking. These candlesticks are c1960 but mid century modernism in form. A woodturner's passion! Super high quality lathe work in coco bolo rosewood. Cylinder base supports wafer turnings, center section is concentric circle fluting to another wafer then compressed ball topped by cylinder. Great colors to this murano art glass ruffled 8" bowl. Remnant of label on underside silver with red AN still legible. Bowl has very unusual twisted sky blue with gold flecks, white lattice and gold fleck sections.
Benedict Studios tray and covered jar. Mkd benedict studios maya bronze. I assume this was a larger set at one time hence the low price. Nice pattern to jar lid, tray elegant with 2 tone which matches jar edge. Tray #3183, jar #3124 both pcs signed.
3 piece coffee or tea set. Creamer & sugar along with coffee pot. Matte white glaze with turned ring form. The finials, spout and rims are all heavily accented with flaring 1950-60's form. Coffee pot is 11" tall to finial top, creamer 4 1/4". Could use a good cleaning but free of chips, cracks & repairs.
A very interesting piece of studio pottery. Unsigned but incredible work, applied realistic fish to a vase with side holes. Each fish is approx 6 1/2", vase is approx 12" tall and wide.
Sprague 1894 Rookwood Pottery ewer with pillow form base. Great form this was the year it was introduced. I'll have to dig out a reference book but from memory I believe the artist signature on base is for Sprague (Amelia?). Great condition, form, era and pottery company!
