| Custom built c1880 by a mason for a CT Masonic Hall. This shows great craftsmanship, leaf carvings, hand cut dovetails etc then other areas where you can see this was not factory or woodworker made. In the style of a railroad desk the bookcase section comes in 2 pcs. Base has turned legs and slightly slanted writing surface with 3 drawers. This writing surface is 4'x31". Second section is 2 doors oak with walnut trim which open up to reveal, cubbies, envelope or folder slots and 2 solid birdseye maple drawers with recessed brass pulls. The top bookcase section has original glass, walnut trimmed oak, 2 lg walnut turnings and fine small leaf carving. There would have been walnut finials on the top but they have been cut. As it stands 7'3". Full restoration services available, priced in as found condition. | ||
