| Three-piece, French Clock Garniture. Late 19th century, fourth quarter, to early 20th Century, 1890-1905. Marble and granite/slate tazzas to right and left. Eight-day Japy Freres movement. Strikes on half-hour and hour. Superb condition of clock case and tazzas; height of case; and clock mechanism, along with its open, or visual, escapement, make it a rare find! Beveled glass, encased in a brass bezel, protects dial, escapement, hands, and Roman numerals. Clock dimensions: 15 inches high; 11 1/2 inches, at widest point, and 6 1/4 inches deep. Tazzas: 10 1/2 inches high, 7 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Garniture is extremely heavy. Clock mechanism has been professionally cleaned, overhauled, lubricated and adjusted. | ||
