A wonderfully large antique bulbous form Kyoto Japanese earthenware two handled Satsuma vase with a three footed attached base from the Meji Period (1868-1912). The overall motif is an enameled apple blossom branch with leaves and blossoms which goes the circumference of the vase. It has a varied tan background. A fabulous Japanese Satsuma hand painted signed pottery mug 19th century. It was crafted in the style of Banko pottery as you can see the finger molding in the creation of this jewel. It has a bamboo handle and the overall feel of the exterior is bamboo. It's motif is polychrome floral with a gilded pheasant. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Japanese hand painted Kutani in Satsuma style but in porcelain body pair of plates Meiji period (1868-1912). The scenes are of people in colorful and elaborate kimonos enjoying a beach resort with what appears to be Mt Fuji in the background. The scenes are exquisitely painted and has rich gilding applique making this indeed an outstanding pair for any fine porcelain collector. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. They are 7-1/4 inches in diameter.
