15th Century Hoi An Jar let from Vietnam. From Hoi An ship wreck with salvage inventory tag on bottom of jar. Hoi An is an ancient Vietnamese trading port. This object is from a late 15th century sailing vessel that sank in the Dragon Sea off Cu Lao Cham Island. It is under the glaze cobalt blue decorated. This is pottery not Chinese but Vietnamese that almost certainly originated at a pottery in or near the hamlet Chau Dau where wasters were found to support this find. 3" diameter, op ...click for details
